AD664 Monolithic IC with Quad 12-Bit Voltage-Output DACs

The AD664 is a monolithic integrated circuit incorporating four complete 12-bit, voltage-output digital-to-analog converters (DACs). Each DAC features a double-buffered input latch structure with data readback capability. All DAC read and write operations are performed through a single-ended, microprocessor-compatible I/O port.

Key Features:

• Flexible Parallel Interface: Supports 4-bit, 8-bit, or 12-bit parallel word processing, enabling seamless interfacing with various microprocessors.
• Reset Functionality: Includes a reset-to-zero control pin that simultaneously forces all DAC outputs to zero, regardless of input latch contents.
• Transparent Mode: Any or all DACs can be placed in transparent mode, allowing outputs to respond immediately to input data changes.

Analog Architecture:

• Four DAC Units: Each utilizes an inverting R-2R ladder structure.
• Output Amplifiers & Control: Includes four output amplifiers, a control amplifier, and multiple switches.
• Programmable Output Ranges: Configurable via the digital I/O port for:

  • 1x or 2x gain relative to the reference voltage
